Metal Chem is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our team. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. This is a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction and upholding our reputation for excellence.
Duties:
- Perform quality inspections on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished painted and plated products
- Utilize various measuring tools and equipment such as micrometers and calipers
- Conduct visual inspections to identify any defects or non-conformities
- Follow established quality control procedures and protocols
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Conduct quality audits to ensure compliance with internal quality management systems and external regulations (e.g., FDA)
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall product quality and efficiency
- Provide support during customer audits and inspections
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Quality Control Inspector or similar role
- Strong knowledge of quality control principles, practices, and techniques
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA regulations) and or Nadcap requirements.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and blueprints
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot defects or non-conformities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
