Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our team. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for conducting inbound inspections for each railcar, analyzing data, and implementing quality assurance measures and saftey protocals.
Responsibilities:
- Perform quality inspections on incoming rail cars, communicate with customers, build work orders for each car, communicate with parts department to make sure the parts are going to make it to the shop in a timely manner.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to ensure accurate measurements
- Conduct visual inspections to identify any defects or non-conformities
- Analyze inspection data and prepare reports on product quality and performance
- Collaborate with production teams to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Conduct quality audits to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspection results and quality records
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall product quality
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quality Control/ Inbound Inspector or similar role
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, QA/QC processes, and quality assurance principles
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and CMM
- Familiarity with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) principles is preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyze data effectively
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with customers
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
Note: This is a paid position. Internship positions must also be compensated accordingly.
