We are looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join our team in Chester, CT. This position reports to the Quality Control Manager and will perform critical dimension checks on incoming products, raw materials, and finished goods.

Tasks:

• General Housekeeping
• Excellent organizational skills
• Perform critical dimension checks on incoming products and raw materials.
• Perform visual quality inspection of incoming finished products.
• Complete and maintain inspection documents.
• Control the flow of items into and out of the QC area.
• Perform first piece and inspections as determined by frequency noted on check production sheets.
• Computer data entry using SAP System.
• Create NMR’s and control rejected material.
• Provide support to receiving identifying material as needed.
• Read and understand engineering drawings (dimensioning and tolerancing).
• Use callipers, metric tape and other basic measuring devices.
• Strong math skills.
• Read and understand English.
• Determine fine color distinctions.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Work without direct supervision.
• Use a pallet jack/ Forklift.
• Observe all safety requirements.

Physical Requirements:

• Work requires sitting, standing, and/or walking for long periods, moving, and examining objects at high and low reach.
• Must be able to traverse the production facility.
• Production environment work and physical position.
• Must be able to lift 45 pounds at a time.

Required Education:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical School preferred

Required Work Experience:

• Experience working in manufacturing or a similar environment.

Work Environment and Position Type/Standard Hours of Work:

• Full time; M-F, 40hours/week. Overtime may be required.
