JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Maintains quality standards by inspecting and approving incoming materials, in-process and final production parts. Assure compliance with company ISO standards and requirements.

DUTIES AND TASKS

• Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications; conduct visual and measurements tests; reject and return unacceptable materials.
• Issue Vendor NCs and follow through to resolution.
• Maintain quarantine area.
• Create and apply ID tags to acceptable material.
• Enter material receipts into the ERP software.
• Verify product in-process and final inspections performed by operators.
• Complete First Article Inspections of new products or revisions.
• Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, inputting data into Unipoint software.
• Accompanies customer inspectors during Pre Shipment Inspections (PSI)
• Respond to Customer complaints
• Performs routine calibrations of measuring devices.
• Assure that all personnel are following company ISO procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

• Education required: High school diploma.
• Education preferred: College diploma with focus on Engineering or Quality control.
• Experience required: Two years as Quality Inspector.
• Experience preferred: Five years as Quality Inspector.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES

• Experienced in ERP and Quality software.
• Must be able to work with in-house staff. Able to multi-task.
• Able to read CAD drawings, use tape measure, calipers and other measuring tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $40,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
