Job purpose
Provide, implement, and administer a quality assurance program which ensures product reliability and conformance to customer and/or O & K product specifications while meeting sales goals, profit objectives and promoting company’s quality image.
Duties and responsibilities
· Develop, formulate and direct the quality assurance program to ensure that finished product conforms to company or customer specifications
· Conduct and/or supervise studies to determine root cause of non-conformances, corrective and preventive actions, and effectiveness of corrective actions
· Be proactive in resolving problems with materials, tooling, and production in order to meet customer specifications and company quality goals
· Respond to customer inquiries or complaints
· Conduct or direct investigation and resolution of customer complaints or rejections.
· Provide results of effective corrective actions and show quality trends which impact short and long-term sales objectives
· Train personnel and initiate cross-training in department
· Implement actions to resolve problems
· Provide leadership and promote communications among employees
· Implement and monitor budgets, material usage, and quality standards
· Take leadership in reducing rejects and scrap
· Assure that all testing equipment is calibrated
· Keep work area clean and organized
· Other duties as assigned
