Job description: Affiliated Products Inc. is a premier manufacturer of OEM wire harnesses, cable assemblies and electromechanical assemblies. The Quality Control Manager is an integral part of our management team and leads our quality program, including adherence to ISO 9001. This position operates in a fast-paced, proactive environment and includes various hands-on and supervision responsibilities. The position has frequent customer interaction and communications with internal staff to assure compliance with customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
· Implement, manage, audit, train and improve the Quality program at Affiliated Products Inc.
· Coordinate quality control processes, initiatives, and continuous improvement.
· Manage inspections of incoming material, processes and finished goods.
· Document and manage nonconforming material/goods.
· Generate and manage quality objective metrics, communicate results, and initiate changes if needed.
· Monitor all processes for compliance with the Quality Management System.
· Be a resource for employee 1st piece inspections.
· Conduct internal audits and facilitate ISO audits as required.
· Complete certificate of compliance documentation per customer specifications.
· Develop and maintain good customer relations, including customer complaint procedures.
· Proactively monitor wire harness and industry changes, ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental requirements.
· Lead Management review meetings and maintain documentation.
· Complete documentation for FAIR, PSW, ISIS and PPAP specifications.
· Manage safety training and activities.
· Read, interpret, and understand a variety of customer blueprints and drawings; ensure all customer requirements are met.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· 3-5 or more years of relevant quality program supervision and/or management experience.
· Demonstrated success implementing Quality Management Systems including ISO 9001.
· Wire harness and/or cable industry experience preferred.
· Electrical and/or mechanical engineering background and experience preferred.
· Experienced with a variety of test and measurement equipment.
· Strong desire to learn, develop and grow.
· Ability to successfully work across teams and lead without authority.
