Quality Manager - KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITY
The Quality Control Manager is a leader who enthusiastically promotes and mentors a quality culture within the team and across the organization. As the company representative to regulatory agencies, customers and suppliers, the Quality Manager ensures compliance and performance to achieve quality directives. Success requires management of key performance indicators and utilization of good data analytics to focus company resources on critical needs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead a team of quality professionals (training, document control, inspection, etc.).
· Develop and manage quality metrics and improvement actions throughout the company
· Oversee the Returned Material (RMA) process and lead preventative actions
· Develop and support testing programs to ensure product compliance to customer specs
· Manage system to ensure accuracy and routine calibration of tools and equipment
· Lead customer audits and reporting to improve customer satisfaction
· Support supplier development and performance scorecards to improve incoming quality
· Instill lean six sigma methodologies into the organization
· Be a visible, hands-on leader across the operations team
· Other duties may be assigned
QUALIFICATION, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a quality / technical field
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract manufacturing (PCBA and Cable Harness)
· Experienced with AS9100, ISO9001, ISO13485, ITAR, IPC610, IPC620
· Strong analytical thinker with ability to gather, interpret and visually present data
· Six Sigma Greenbelt or higher; proficient in Six Sigma tools
· Good working knowledge of ERP and Quality Systems (UniPoint a plus)
· Strong communicator with ability to facilitate discussions across multiple departments
· Ability to manage a wide range of projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
· Excellent computer skills, strong user is Microsoft office and advanced user in Excel
WORK ENVIRONMENT & ATTRIBUTES
· Contract manufacturing facility, air-conditioned
· Manufacturing areas, ESD control and eye protection may be required
· Travel may be required, but expected to be very limited.
