The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for the Online Quality Control process of finished products made in the Extrusion Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Lead the team of 12 Online QC Technicians and ensure they execute properly all the required tests for each sample and on time, by following the Samples Dashboard.
* Prepare the shifts schedule one month ahead, as well as monitor the actual shift's staffing and workload, making sure that the necessary resources are assigned for both TWD and HWD QC Stations, including certified backups.
* Ensure that the Online QC Technicians complete all the QC Logs, such as Call outs, Backtracking, Layouts, CNL test, AS test, Rewind splicing inspection, etc.
* Ensure that the layout tests for TWD production lines are completed per shift according set frequency.
* Ensure effective communication with the Production team about out of spec samples, for immediate adjustment and ensure the escalation process is being met.
* Work closely with STs, ETs, Shift Supervisors and Extrusion Manager to achieve operational goals, productivity and efficiency.
* Ensure the backtracking of internal rejections is completed on a timely manner (average 24 hours) while using a FIFO system and executing all the steps in MES and in SAP to quarantine and give final disposition to the products.
* Complete and/or coordinate with the Laboratory Technicians the relevant SAP transactions for Warehouse transfer requests, blocking, releasing, creating Transfer orders and material adjustments on time.
* Prepare the QC updates from the last 24 hours for the daily Plant Tier 2 meeting.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
* =3 years of quality experience in a supervisor role in a manufacturing industry.
* >1 - 2 years of experience in Quality Laboratory is preferred.
* BS Degree in technology, business management, or equivalent degree desired.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
* Fluent in English.
* Bilingual preferable.
* Solid Verbal skills - should be able to do presentations to groups and able to train others.
* Computer adequacy in MS office programs such as Excel, Word, and Access.
