Quality Control Supervisor jobs in Green Bay, WI
Quality Control Supervisor oversees and monitors the inspection and testing of materials, parts, and products to ensure adherence to established quality standards. Establishes inspection protocols, defines sampling procedures, and determines equipment and mechanisms to be used in the testing process. Being a Quality Control Supervisor recommends changes in specifications of materials, parts, and products based on inspection results. May formulate and revise quality control policies and procedures. Additionally, Quality Control Supervisor, a level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. The Quality Inspector position works with a team of Quality professionals to ensure quality and compliance of our manufactured products.
Responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform inspection of products and materials using measuring tools and gauges
- Document inspection results, and communicate any issues identified promptly for review & correction
- Create NCNs and monitor the disposition of Nonconforming products
- Create and circulate Quality Alerts within your assigned area(s) of coverage
- Participate in and support corrective actions, preventative actions, and the problem-solving process
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in a Science or Engineering field is preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
SKILLS
- Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings and electrical diagrams
- Competent in the use of monitoring and measurement tools, such as tape measures, calipers, gauges, and torque devices
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
- Demonstrated problem solving ability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
