Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Housekeeping Manager to oversee the daily operations of our housekeeping department. The Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for ensuring cleanliness and maintenance standards are met, managing a team of housekeeping staff, and coordinating with other departments to provide exceptional service to our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the housekeeping staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Develop and implement cleaning procedures and protocols to maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to standards
- Coordinate with other departments, such as maintenance and front desk, to address guest requests and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, and place orders as needed
- Maintain records of housekeeping activities, such as room occupancy rates, maintenance requests, and lost-and-found items
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures
- Handle guest complaints or concerns related to housekeeping services
Skills:
- Proven experience in housekeeping management, preferably in a hospitality or hotel setting
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques, custodial practices, and industrial cleaning methods
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with other departments and address guest needs
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
