The ideal candidate is energetic, organized with strong multitasking abilities. Directors should be committed to learning and complying with OSHA standards of nursing homes. This is a working manager position. Candidates must have the abilities to help in any areas of housekeeping or laundry as needed. Sound decision making in aspects of hiring, termination and remediation of staff. This position reports to the Administrator with the flexibility to help in other areas of the facility for the optimal performance of your facility and the well-being of our residents.

Essential Job Duties:

• Purchase housekeeping and laundry supplies
• Supervise receiving and storage of linens and supplies
• Plan and conduct in-service training programs
• Observe waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy
• Assist with the implementation of OSHA regulations as they pertain to the department
• Ensuring proper safety measures are used when housekeeping/laundry duties are being performed (e.g. wet floor signs, chemicals are secure and labeled, etc.)
• Comply with State, Federal and OSHA Regulations
• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
• 2 yrs Experience in Environmental Services
• Basic Computer Skills
