Quality Control Supervisor oversees and monitors the inspection and testing of materials, parts, and products to ensure adherence to established quality standards. Establishes inspection protocols, defines sampling procedures, and determines equipment and mechanisms to be used in the testing process. Being a Quality Control Supervisor recommends changes in specifications of materials, parts, and products based on inspection results. May formulate and revise quality control policies and procedures. Additionally, Quality Control Supervisor, a level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor.     The Quality Control Supervisor will report directly to the General Manager and is charged with developing and maintaining a system to assure that all products manufactured by the organization meet customer specifications and achieve superior quality and reliability levels.

    Primary Responsibilities:
    This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
    • Prioritize, schedule, and delegate work assignments, and directly supervise the quality assurance staff to ensure the meeting or exceeding of quality specifications.
    • Establish and implement quality procedures and specifications, testing procedures, and standards for raw materials and for in-process and finished products.
    • Audit quality systems, initiating corrective action as required.
    • Develop and recommend inspection and sampling techniques and quality assurance plans.
    • Develop process control procedures ensuring production of finished products meeting quality specifications and standards.
    • Develop training for and train employees on quality related practices and system requirements.
    • Produce quality reports; analyze information, and address and resolve problem areas.
    • Develop and lead cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality issues and to improve levels of quality and productivity.
    • Provide technical assistance to customers, vendors, and other departments of the company.
    • Resolve any quality issues.
    • Conduct research on product defects and recommend modifications in product or quality standards where warranted.
    • Review all complaints received from customers to determine corrective action.
    • Provide assistance to customers regarding quality problems or concerns.
    • Develop and maintain departmental budget; ensure maximum utilization of resources within budget constraints.
    • Ensure compliance with all housekeeping procedures and all quality and safety regulations.
    • To meet our customer needs such as providing excellent customers services by motivating our team, taking ownership of customer issues, and following problems through to resolution.
    • Demonstrate 360 degree thinking in our professional fields.
    • Be agile to manage all strategic goals, plans and tasks.

    • An outstanding communicator that possesses superior written/oral communication skills, as well as the ability to present his/her views in a clear and compelling manner.
    • Constant reminder of safety in all aspects of operations.
    • Average working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
    Education:
    • Requires a bachelor's degree and five to seven years of related experience; or ten to twelve years of progressively responsible related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
    • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
