Job Purpose:

Responsible for for managing the Quality Inspection activities in the San Jose, CA Sanmina PCB plant includes developing, monitoring, maintaining and/or revising methodologies to ensure products shipped to a Customer meet the expected quality and reliability requirements.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

•   Ensures that established inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed for the Inspection Area.
•   Takes a lead role in communications of issues and problems that are preventing shipments to Customers.
•    Participates on internal teams to reduce inspection escapes including Defective Products Returned from Customers.
•    Engaged in organizing, documenting, and interpreting inspection support documents and records.
•    Manages the activities of the Quality Inspectors and Quality Technicians and is responsible for staffing decisions, training and development, and performance management of the inspection team.
•    Attends daily production meetings and supports daily execution requirements, including ship plans.
•   Outlines and implements training procedures for employees of the inspection operation including the use of drawings, prints, and pictures to ensure adherence to quality assurance standards.
•   Provides Supervision of all Inspection personnel for all shifts. 
•   Maintains working knowledge of applicable Industry Specifications and IPC 600.
•   Maintains a working knowledge of Sanmina Quality Procedures and Quality Management System Certifications such as ISO9001.
•   Responsible for Inspection Area procedures.
•   Maintains competency in the field of Quality Inspection.
•   Reports to site Quality Manager

Education and Experience:

•  Previous PCB Quality experience is desired
• Working Knowledge of Statistical Process Control and Continuous Improvement Tools is desired.
•  Previous experience with Military and/or Commercial Printed Circuit Board fabrication is strongly desired.
• Embraces personal learning/achievements in areas of Lean Six Sigma, Certifications in Quality field or technical knowledge.
•  Associates or Bachelors Degree or 10 years of experience in Printed Circuit Boards with several years in a leadership capacity.
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to provide supervision in a multi-shift environment. Flexibility to modify work schedule occasionally.

Salary Range(annual): $70,000.00-$90,000.00
