May formulate and revise quality control policies and procedures. Additionally, Quality Control Supervisor, a level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. The Quality Supervisor is responsible for leading the daily activities of inspection and testing to ensure compliance with all standards, specifications, and internal quality systems.
1. Two-year degree required in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math.
2. Quality Management System experience in an ISO 9001 environment required.
3. Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment required.
4. SPC experience a plus
5. Strong math skills required.
6. 2 Years min. experience in a quality assurance position required.
7. High proficiency in computer technology and systems operations. Experience with data analysis software a plus.
8. Solid understanding of Microsoft Office applications
9. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
10. Root Cause analysis experience preferred.
11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
