Quality Generalist Manager develops and administers policies and procedures for evaluating and improving the quality of products, materials, components and/or manufacturing processes. Makes recommendations to ensure production runs meet established quality standards and predicted yields. Being a Quality Generalist Manager ensures employees follow established procedures and complete quality assurance work within time and budgetary constraints. May be responsible for ensuring products meet international quality standards such as ISO 9001. Additionally, Quality Generalist Manager works across a variety of quality assurance disciplines. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Quality Generalist Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. JOB SUMMARY:
Provide quality and patient safety consulting, analysis and improvement facilitation for staff and leaders throughout the Hospital. Develop, implement, and improve programs to establish and maintain Quality and Patient Safety standards of care provided to patients. Research, collect and analyze internal and external data for decision making. Serve as a subject matter expert regarding quality and patient safety initiatives and significant event management. Ensure that goals are in alignment with the Health System’s Patient Safety and Performance Improvement plan, strategic priorities and regulatory and accreditation requirements.
