Quality Generalist Manager develops and administers policies and procedures for evaluating and improving the quality of products, materials, components and/or manufacturing processes. Makes recommendations to ensure production runs meet established quality standards and predicted yields. Being a Quality Generalist Manager ensures employees follow established procedures and complete quality assurance work within time and budgetary constraints. May be responsible for ensuring products meet international quality standards such as ISO 9001. Additionally, Quality Generalist Manager works across a variety of quality assurance disciplines. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Quality Generalist Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Quality Generalist Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     How You'll Perform the Role


    This role ensures product meets all customer requirements through establishing, maintaining, and improving quality and food safety systems and processes.

    • Development, implementation and administration of quality and food safety policies and procedures for all employees.
    • Establish and perform quality and food safety training programs for all employees.
    • Manage customer complaints and food safety program..
    • Provide monthly management quality and food safety reports, as required
    • Maintain up to date inspection reports for food safety, files, quality programs and samples.
    • Collect, organize, analyze, and report process data to internal and external customers.
    • Facilitate and assist support departments with technical expertise for process improvements, and environmental and food safety compliance (ink making, paste making, and graphics).
    • Lead continuous improvement activities and training within the plant.
    • Manage the internal nonconformance and hold process
    • Manage quality testing and inspections
    • Perform cross checks of quality measures out of SOPs to ensure proper evaluation of quality measures
    • Manage offsite quality measurement requests
    • Assist and recommend quality test equipment and methodology to meet customer’s product specifications
    • Periodically review new and existing test methods to ensure ongoing effectiveness for testing objective

    What We Need From You
    • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of quality control management and SQF experience in a manufacturing environment, or relevant work experience is required
    • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
    • Strong knowledge of MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Smartsheet
    • Must have firm understanding of test procedures, statistics, and process controls
    • Must have strong problem solving and analytical ability
    • Strong collaborative team player
    • Knowledge of bag machinery a plus
    • Up to 10% travel
