Quality Generalist Manager develops and administers policies and procedures for evaluating and improving the quality of products, materials, components and/or manufacturing processes. Makes recommendations to ensure production runs meet established quality standards and predicted yields. Being a Quality Generalist Manager ensures employees follow established procedures and complete quality assurance work within time and budgetary constraints. May be responsible for ensuring products meet international quality standards such as ISO 9001. Additionally, Quality Generalist Manager works across a variety of quality assurance disciplines. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Quality Generalist Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Quality Generalist Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the shop, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning
- Manage and supervise a team of retail staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and meet revenue targets
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure adequate stock availability
- Handle cash handling procedures, including cash register reconciliation and daily deposits
- Conduct employee orientation and provide ongoing training to ensure a high level of customer service
- Create work schedules and manage payroll for shop employees
- Maintain a clean and organized shop environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Skills:
- Retail management experience, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Bilingual or multilingual proficiency to effectively communicate with diverse customers
- Strong cash handling skills, including the ability to accurately count and reconcile cash transactions
- Excellent store management abilities, including inventory control and visual merchandising
- Ability to negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms
- Experience in sales management, including developing sales strategies and coaching staff for success
- Familiarity with payroll processes and systems for accurate employee compensation
