Join our industrial hose distribution company, a respected player in the Northeast US, with locations in East Longmeadow, MA (HQ), Woburn, MA, and East Providence, RI. With a committed team of approximately 75 employees, we pride ourselves on a long-standing tradition of excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction. We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead our Quality Management System (QMS) initiatives, ensuring compliance with AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Lead and manage the quality assurance team to ensure that products and services meet all necessary requirements before reaching the customer.
- Conduct regular internal audits and manage external audits, acting as the primary point of contact for all quality-related audits and inquiries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and drive quality initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
- Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality objectives, ensuring continuous improvement in all aspects of the QMS.
- Develop and deliver quality-related training programs to enhance the quality awareness and competencies of all employees.
- Manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address non-conformities identified during audits and customer feedback.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in quality management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality management role within a manufacturing or industrial distribution environment.
- Proven track record of developing and managing QMS compliant with AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) preferred.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality improvement tools.
