Quality Generalist Manager develops and administers policies and procedures for evaluating and improving the quality of products, materials, components and/or manufacturing processes. Makes recommendations to ensure production runs meet established quality standards and predicted yields. Being a Quality Generalist Manager ensures employees follow established procedures and complete quality assurance work within time and budgetary constraints. May be responsible for ensuring products meet international quality standards such as ISO 9001. Additionally, Quality Generalist Manager works across a variety of quality assurance disciplines. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Quality Generalist Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Quality Generalist Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Wisenbaker is searching for a Quality Manager will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of quality assurance within our cabinet manufacturing facility. This position will develop and implement quality control procedures, monitor production processes, and ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen attention to detail, and a passion for delivering superior quality products.

    PROFESSIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop and implement comprehensive quality control processes and procedures to ensure the consistent production of high quality cabinetry.
    • Establish and maintain quality standards, specifications, and inspection criteria for raw materials, components, and finished products.
    • Lead a team of quality inspectors and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure adherence to quality standards and objectives.
    • Conduct regular audits and inspections of manufacturing processes, equipment, and facilities to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with quality requirements.
    • Investigate and resolve quality issues, nonconformities, and customer complaints in a timely and effective manner, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
    • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including production, engineering, and procurement, to address quality-related challenges and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality, analyzing data trends and performance metrics to identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, conducting supplier audits and evaluations to ensure the quality and reliability of incoming materials and components.
    • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in quality management, incorporating relevant updates and advancements into our quality assurance processes.
    • Promote a culture of quality and accountability throughout the organization, fostering teamwork, communication, and a commitment to excellence among all employees.

    PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Stay up to date with product, industry, and software knowledge.
    • Cross-trained with Manufacturing roles.

    QUALIFICATION AND REQUIRED SKILLS

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality management, preferably in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on woodworking or cabinetry production.
    • Strong knowledge of quality management principles, tools, and methodologies, such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and ISO standards.
    • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to effectively manage and develop a team of quality professionals.
    • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
    • Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and quality auditing processes.
    • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical techniques for quality improvement.
    • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and achieve measurable results.
    • Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) designation is a plus.
