We are currently looking for a qualified applicant to fill the following position: FT - Compliance, Quality and Improvement Specialist ($19.50hr - $22.50hr).
Job Description:
The Compliance, Quality, and Improvement Specialist is responsible for compliance monitoring within the standards set by each program description. The Specialist will provide continuous quality improvement reviews focusing on documentation, data, quality of service, training requirements, and physical site upkeep. This position will function as a member of the Quality team, providing support within assigned programs.
Essential Functions:
- Provide continuous analytic and quality support to program leaders and staff, focusing compliance on a broad range of programmatic expectations within DPW 3800, 3680 and Specialized Settings regulations.
- Work in conjunction with Program Directors and Supervisors to identify and implement changes necessary for youth protection and support of program structure.
- Provide evaluation within areas of program governance for continuous quality improvement.
- Attend both external and internal agency trainings and workshops; complete and pass all required training hours and annual training as set forth in the funder and licensing regulations.
Key Functions:
- Complete all paperwork on a timely basis.
- Act as a key member within the Specialized Settings Quality Workgroup, meeting regularly to discuss compliance, quality and improvement within assigned programs.
- Act as a liaison to the Program Director, Senior Vice President and Director of Quality to report strengths and areas in need of improvement.
- Be a part of the team building a culture of compliance and quality by educating incoming staff on 3800, 3680 and Specialized Setting regulations.
- Aid in creation and implementation of corrective action plans pertaining to licensing regulations.
- Provide reports on a monthly basis, for quarterly review at the QA/QI Committee and Risk Management Committee as necessary for further exploration.
- Participate in weekly scheduled supervision with the direct supervisor and be prepared with an agenda.
Other Duties:
- Understand and adhere to Valley Youth House policies, practices, and procedures.
- Build genuine relationships that support families, ensure safe places, and help youth achieve their desired futures.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings.
- Timely and accurate completion of personnel materials (ie. time sheets, mileage reimbursement, etc.).
- Complete other related tasks as appropriate or assigned.
- Possibility of working weekends and or nights, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ideal candidate shall have experience in Quality Management, Data Collection and Outcomes/Performance Management.
- They shall possess excellent analytical and quantitative skills as well as attention to detail.
- They shall be extremely well organized and have an ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal.
- Demonstrate the ability to function well as a team member.
- Never have been convicted of any prohibited criminal or child abuse offense.
- They will possess a minimum of a BS/BA in Risk Management, Business, Finance, Social Services or a similar field, as well as, two years of related experience.
- Proficient in computer knowledge & skills (i.e. Microsoft Windows software); familiarity with the operations of EHRs, external databases and Google Suite is desired.
Preferred Qualifications:
- An individual will have a master's degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, Social Services, or similar field, as well as, three years of related experience.
- An individual with experience and understanding in Continuous Quality Improvement and other Quality functions.
- Knowledge of and experience in youth and families, child welfare, homeless services and behavioral health programming.
- Display organizational skills and be highly adept at managing multiple tasks and assignments.
- Teaching and training experience.
- Successful team members are creative thinkers, are flexible in their approaches to people and projects, and are capable of working with diverse groups of the population.
