Quality Improvement Director - Healthcare leads and directs process and overall quality improvement activities that produce better patient care and more efficient operations. Develops programs to review and evaluate patient care and outcomes. Being a Quality Improvement Director - Healthcare implements a strategy and plans for a quality improvement function within the facility in collaboration with the administrative and clinical leaders of the hospital. Tracks and presents results of improvement efforts and ongoing measures of clinical processes to management. Additionally, Quality Improvement Director - Healthcare requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Quality Improvement Director - Healthcare typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Valley Behavioral Health Hospital Phoenix is seeking a Director of Performance Improvement/Quality with a background in Behavioral Health to join our team of dedicated professionals!

     

    The Director of Performance Improvement/ Quality is responsible for directing and monitoring the facility-wide quality management assessment and quality performance improvement program, ensuring the facility’s programs are in compliance with all regulatory agencies, TJC, CMS and state and federal agencies.   The Director of Performance Improvement/ Quality will develop, implement, and periodically evaluate processes to ensure the facilities operations meet quality, integrity, and efficiency standards set by Valley Hospital.

     

    Location:                   3550 East Pinchot Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 

    Schedule:                   Monday - Friday

    Qualifications

    • Education:Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing, Social Work or related behavioral health field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Master’s Degree preferred.
    • Experience:Four (4) years of experience in risk management/improving organizational performance within an acute medical or psychiatric treatment setting.
    • Additional Requirements: A strong knowledge of TJC, OBHL, ADHS, CMS, OSHA and Patient Rights Standards, and any other applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities.
