  • Job Description:

    The Quality Manager is responsible for directing, planning, and organizing the Quality Management System. The Quality Manager owns all Quality Assurance activities to sustain current business, meet customer, regulatory, and compliance requirements, drive continuous improvement, and enable future growth.


    Job Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement quality management strategies and plans that continue the growth of an AS9100 organization.
    • Serves as company representative for, and leads, all internal and external audit activities and oversees all resulting corrective/preventive actions to successful completion.
    • Knowledgeable in aerospace and spaceflight quality assurance requirements including their management and applicability in a manufacturing setting.
    • Leads all AS9100 certification and surveillance audits.
    • Leads management review meetings.
    • Leads regulatory affairs activities.
    • Implement and sustain a Quality Management System that assures compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and contractual obligations.
    • Understands and is proficient in applying AS9100 standards in a Design & Manufacturing environment.
    • Ability to comprehend and interpret contractual requirements.
    • Communicate quality matters to external parties.
    • Completes customer surveys with input from department heads.
    • Track and measure company KPI metrics.
    • Establish and oversee all aspects of quality including metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
    • Assist with and guide as necessary all initiatives in continuous improvement and organizational excellence using suitable quality approaches.
    • Manage, lead, and supervise the quality system compliance as a minimum to AS9100 standards.
    • Practice and teach quality disciplines and continuous improvement activities.
    • Leads the organization in all Root Cause Corrective Action activities internally and externally.
    • Track Quality Performance Metrics and report on performance of quality metrics and corrective and preventative actions.
    • Continued knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 organization requirements.
    • Conduct periodic performance evaluations of direct reports.
    • Serves as a member of the senior management team.
    • All other duties assigned by Manager.


    Competencies Required:

    • Bachelor's degree in related field and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
    • Knowledge of and experience in an ISO9001 or AS9100 organization
    • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, related process controls, and inspection and test methods.
    • Proficiency in advanced product quality planning and failure modes and effects analysis.
    • Ability to perform internal quality system and process audits.
    • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
    • Ability to carry out assignments to completion.
    • Ability to multitask and be involved in several projects at once.


    Language Required:

    • English
