Position Summary Brown Advisory, a rapidly growing investment management firm, is currently seeking a Request for Proposal (RFP) Associate to assist with the completion and oversight of RFIs, RFPs, DDQs, and ad-hoc requests that procure new business and address the due diligence and reporting needs of clients. The individual will join our Global Sales and Service team and will be responsible for collaborating with various internal stakeholders to complete client questionnaires and ensure the data on Brown Advisory investment strategies are accurately maintained within the firms’ internal RFP content databases. Primary responsibility is to be focused on content and data management across global databases. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of the investment management landscape as well as the ability to learn and thrive within a growing organization with multiple investment capabilities. This role requires excellent time management and communication skills as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities working under pressure of deadlines with tight turnaround times. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to: Coordinate all aspects of the proposal by working closely with colleagues from across the firm to assure responses exceed standards Partner with Investment Product Managers and Portfolio Managers as well as other internal stakeholders to create, edit, and refine product-related questionnaires content; this includes, but may not be limited to, developing original content for new product text as well as proposing modifications to current product text Provide status updates in timely fashion to sales team and proactively alert team members of any potential issues Peer review questionnaires and client requests to ensure accuracy and minimize errors Maintain content and run reports within investment databases (Morning Star, eVestment, RFPio) Develop an understanding of Brown Advisory’s investment strategies and philosophy Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree required 3 years of experience required Previous investment management and or RFP experience strongly preferred Familiarity with proposal software (or ability to master quickly), advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly MS Excel Detail oriented, highly responsive, with strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and all levels of the organization Ability to project manage and manage timelines independently Ability to learn quickly and work independently, while also contributing to a team Solid organizational skills with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at once Excellent writing and communication skills with the ability to address technical investment- oriented detail in a clear, concise and compelling manner Ability to work five days a week in the Baltimore office Benefits At Brown Advisory we offer a competitive compensation package, including full benefits. • Medical • Dental • Vision • Wellness program participation incentive • Financial wellness program • Gym membership discounts • Fitness event fee reimbursement • Corporate gym membership discounts • Colleague Assistance Program • Telemedicine Program (for those enrolled in Medical) • Adoption Benefits • Daycare late pick-up fee reimbursement • Basic Life & Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance • Voluntary Life & Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance • Short Term Disability • Paid parental leave • Group Long Term Disability • Pet Insurance • 401(k) (50% employer match up to IRS limit, 4 year vesting) Brown Advisory is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
