RFP Analyst, Sr. develops proposals, bids, quotations, RFP responses, or other documents describing organizational products and services in response to requests from prospective clients. Collaborates and coordinates with internal contributors and subject matter experts to ensure content is complete, accurate, and maximizes business opportunities. Being an RFP Analyst, Sr. prepares and maintains a repository of templates, standard language, and product collateral or exhibits. May prepare custom response content for complex or unique inquiries. Additionally, RFP Analyst, Sr. typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The RFP Analyst, Sr. work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. The Senior Financial Analyst will add significant value to the company’s bottom line through improving all aspects of financial management in a multi-million dollar operating facility.
Essential Job Functions
-Leads annual standard cost process as well as quarterly costs movement reviews.
-Leads annual physical inventory process and related reconciliation.
-Completes all monthly reports on a timely basis with zero defects.
-Reviews transaction errors to insure proper impact on perpetual and G/L records.
-Reviews variances to determine cause.
-Drives continuous process improvements.
-Supports new product development.
-Analyzes shipments, standard cost valuations, production variance, and other costs analysis.
-Prepares and analyzes cost reports.
-Prepares forecasts for Shipments, Absorption, Inventory, Variances, etc.
-Performs the monthly accounting close process, balance sheet reconciliations and journal entry postings.
-Support compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and related audits.
-Other Adhoc requests / projects.
Education, Experience & Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance from an accredited college/ university required.
-Five to Ten (5-10) years’ experience in general accounting and cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
-Knowledge of GAAP (Generally accepted accounting principles).
-Strong PC skills (Excel, Access, Power-Point) required.
-Sound business knowledge applicable to a manufacturing environment.
