This position demands expertise in engineering principles, proposal strategy, client relationship management, and team leadership.  Job Description: *This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned Position Responsibilities and Duties: RFP Analysis and Strategy Thoroughly analyze RFP documents, extracting technical and permitting requirements, scope, and client expectations. Relay this information to the the Business Development Team. Develop overarching engineering strategies for winning proposals, aligning with company capabilities and differentiators. Compare owner scopes of work to SOLV standard and note all cost/schedule variances Review technical documentation (Geotech, hydrology, TOPO, etc.) to ensure that it meets SOLV standards Technical Solution Development Lead the conceptual design process, collaborating with engineers to create innovative, cost-effective solutions that meet RFP specifications. Oversee the preparation of detailed technical write-ups, drawings, calculations, and other supporting documentation. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations. Coordinate between different engineering departments/consultants for a single wholistic bid Collect and correlate responses to internal team’s comments QA/QC all designs for any discrepancies with scope or value engineering options Coordination Work closely with BD managers, procurement team, and estimating team to ensure seamless integration of technical components into a cohesive proposal. Actively participate in proposal reviews and client Q&A sessions. Promote knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration within the engineering team and across departments. Document key information from meetings Keep up to date on various projects Track updates on a variety of platforms Maintain engineering schedules Know and understand all AHJ (Federal, State, and Local) requirements for all jurisdictions we work in Ability to learn new AHJ requirements when we expand into new regions Provide guidance to owners, contract team, BD teams, and Estimating teams of AHJ requirements Develop EPC contract exhibits related to owner/contractor obtained permits Act as SME for all engineering and permitting questions to internal team or owners Ensure all documentation is filed appropriately and is easily accessible Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements: 5 years of experience in engineering design within the EPC industry Bachelors degree in Engineering (Electrical or Geotechnical focus preferred) Ability to multitask and juggle responsibilities Organized and detail oriented Proficient in AUTOCAD Proficient in Microsoft's systems Be a people person Ability to adapt and respond quickly to change in a fast paced environment Self-motivated Excellent communication skills 10% Travel required SOLV Energy Is an Equal Opportunity Employer At SOLV Energy we celebrate the power of our differences.
