POSITION SUMMARY

The Sr. Financial Analyst will be responsible for contributing to the business forecasting process for Rosenbauer America. They will be responsible for critically examining company finances and preparing businesses cases to support the introduction of strategies for improvement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Work closely with the RBA leadership team to formulate the business' annual, medium, and long-term financial and strategic plan.
• Work with department leaders to build their annual budgets and forecasts.
• Produce models to project long-term growth and determine the levers impacting business growth.
• Analyzefinancial and operational results to better understand company performance.
• Implement BI tools to visualize meaningful insights into business performance.
• Communicate to RBA leadership the reasons behind the product/department performance and results.
• Provide detailed analysis and commentary on results including variance analysis across the organization.
• Review operations and recommend new productivity or cost-saving initiatives.
• Preparing business cases to support new investment, strategic and other business decisions.
• Continuously improve processes.
• Provide insights to senior management around financial modelling, forecasts, and profitability.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the company.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Preferred Education:

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• CPA License.

Required Experience:

• 5 years of experience in accounting/finance.
• Experience with US GAAP financial reporting requirements.
• Experience working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas.
• Previous experience developing standards, managing processes, building operational and financial models.
• High level of business and data analysis acumen and performance management.
• Strong understanding of systems and underlying data.
• Very strong (proficient) Excel skills.

• Ability to build relationships through excellent communication skills.

Mathematical Skills:

• Ability to apply advanced math concepts such as elementary differential equations, probability, programming, and statistics related to finance.
• Able to develop budgets and track budget expenditures.

Reasoning Ability:

• Strong quantitative abilities.
• Ability to apply strategic and/or conceptual thinking to a wide range of complex intellectual and practical problems.
• Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:

• Significant analytical skillset, including Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
• Strong financial software acumen.

Decision Making:

• Responsibilities are guided by general company principles and objectives.
• There is broad latitude for making decisions with primary control over results that are reviewed at completion.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position works in an office environment. It is a quiet environment that is temperature controlled, ventilated, and well-lit. Working Conditions will include a desk space where most of the shift will be spent, and it provides open space to work in. This office space is routinely cleaned by Rosenbauer Cleaning Services. It has access to all welfare facilities. This position requires traveling to different plants and departments, so working conditions vary when out of the office.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position requires sitting for an extended period of time with minimal standing or walking. During shifts, the use of hands and fingers may exceed 60 minutes, while the use of feet and legs may range between 30 to 60 minutes. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. All positions require the ability to lift 50 pounds.
