Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Bar Manager to oversee our bar operations. The Bar Manager will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staff, and maintaining a high standard of quality in all bar operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bartending, hospitality, and food handling, as well as excellent leadership and organizational skills.
Duties:
- Manage day-to-day bar operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Train, supervise, and schedule bar staff to ensure efficient and effective service
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Create and update drink menus, ensuring a diverse selection of high-quality beverages
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of drinks to meet customer expectations
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and resolve any issues in a timely manner
- Monitor sales and revenue to meet financial targets
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage offerings
- Implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and increase sales
Experience:
- Previous experience in bartending or bar management is required
- Strong knowledge of mixology and drink recipes
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and cash register operations
- Proficient in using Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food service regulations and health standards
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Basic math skills for inventory management and financial reporting
