Being a Racing and Sports Manager may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Racing and Sports Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes.     Responsibilities:
    • General office administrative and clerical skills to perform receptionist duties and answer telephones.
    • Organize office and assist associates in ways that optimize procedures.
    • Sort and distribute communications in a timely manner.
    • Maintaining files, creating and updating records, and ensuring the accuracy and validity of the information.
    • Monitor level of supplies and handle shortages.
    • Resolve office-related malfunctions and respond to requests or issues.
    • Coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with established policies.
    • Maintain trusting relationships with suppliers, customers and colleagues.
    • Overseeing clerical tasks, such as sorting and sending mail.
    • Keeping an inventory of office supplies and ordering new materials as needed.
    • Working with staff to ensure the office runs smoothly.

    Requirements:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft office programs, Excel experience a must. 
    • A fully qualified typist (computer keyboard) with a minimum of 50 WPM is required.
    • General ethics, telephone etiquette, and excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Proven experience as a back-office assistant, office assistant, or another relevant administrative role.
    • Working knowledge of computers and office equipment.
    • Thorough understanding of office procedures.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving.
    • Must Love Dogs!
