    Location:  The facility is located on General Drive near the Carowinds amusement park.  The building is approximately 255,000 square feet and runs two shifts (5am - 1:30pm and 1:30pm to 10pm)   These times will change when we run OT during peak season. This role will partner with the GM to lead a team of 2 team leads and baseline of 70 hourly associates peaking at 165 during peak season (total with 1st and 2nd shift).


    Summary:  The Supervisor Role directs and coordinates activities within the distribution center to obtain operational efficiency.   To be an effective leader, the Supervisor must ensure the highest levels of safety, performance, utilization, and efficiency, while working within Big Rock Sports Five Core Values. This role requires proven leadership skills, experience in developing and motivating teams and individuals, and consistent achievement of performance results. 


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Embodies “The Big Rock Way” and acts as a champion of the five core values: Character, Commitment, Conservation, Creativity, and Collaboration
    • Supports the logistic strategy with a service/quality/cost optimization focus consistent with Company direction
    • Ensures operation complies with applicable environmental, health, safety, and DOT regulations
    • Ensures compliance with established procedures and internal controls over product flow
    • Provides support to Sales and Customer Service teams in operational aspects of account management
    • Leads by providing an open communication environment where each team member’s input is encouraged and respected
    • Ensures proper training for all employees within the distribution center.
    • Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with Big Rock Sports’ safety guidelines including, but not limited to safe operation of all machinery, tools, and equipment; proper use of safety devices; maintains housekeeping standards. 
    • Administrative task:  timecard approval, warnings for attendance; weekly performance checks, annual merit reviews..
    • Other duties may be assigned.

    Qualifications:  

    • 3 to 5 years of distribution experience
    • Demonstrated success leading managers/supervisors in a high-volume distribution center or manufacturing operation where process and performance are key to meeting daily customer expectations 
    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists 
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office software, including advanced knowledge of Excel, Warehouse Management Systems inventory software and order processing systems
