Racing and Sports Shift Supervisor jobs in Round Rock, TX

Under the general supervision of the Recreation Coordinator and/or Sports Supervisor, this position is responsible for officiating youth sports leagues for the City of Marble Falls. Individuals in this position are responsible for creating a safe playing environment for all participants.

• General knowledge of youth sport and how the game is played, umpired, officiated, and managed.
• Ability to learn and apply all basic rules and regulations of youth sport as assigned
• Maintain knowledge of the rules and mechanics for soccer (will train as needed).
• Provide a safe environment for participants to compete.
• Ability to keep games running on time.
• Possess excellent communication skills.
• Build and foster relationships with participants, coaches, parents, coworkers, and general public
• Provide excellent customer service and possess a service philosophy which reflects the mission for the Parks and Recreation Department.
• Provide an excellent experience for players and guests at the Marble Falls recreation functions while ensuring safety, and answering customer questions.
• Follows verbal and written direction
• Issue equipment to participants upon arrival, clean equipment upon exit.
• Maintain clean workspaces and restrooms for staff and patrons.
• Ensure patrons are following rules and participating safely.
• Establish and maintain cooperative professional working relationships with others, individually and in a team environment.
• Communicate orally and in writing with customers, other staff, and supervisors.
• Sports Supervisors must have the ability to manage crowds, coaches, participants, and officials behavior
• Sports Supervisors must have the professionalism when handling stressful situations
• Sports Supervisors that have previous sports experience in baseball, basketball, soccer, volleyball, softball are preferred

• Other duties as assigned.
  
  Staff may be asked to work weekends and holidays.
