Your Role With Us:

The Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist provides quality assurance procedures and services to the radiation oncology programs at Salem Health. They also provide physics support to special procedures on superficial lesions using ortho-voltage unit. This encompasses brachytherapy procedures, including QA on the brachytherapy machine, imaging, planning, and treatment delivery support. In this role, they serve as Assistant Radiation Safety Officer, you advise on new and existing radiation regulations, provides radiation safety in-services, and maintains inventory of radioactive sources. Background/Expertise:

• Master's Degree required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience as a physicist in a hospital, clinic, or medical school.
• Medical Physics Licensure preferred.
  
• An understanding of the principles of radiation physics.
• Excellent math skills.
