Radiation Physicist jobs in Stamford, CT

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Radiation Oncology is responsible for the coordination and delivery of patient care utilizing the Nursing Process and following all established standards of practice, Nursing Code of Ethics and State and Federal guidelines. The RN adheres to all Stamford Hospital’s policies and procedures, including the Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program. The Registered Nurse ensures provision of safe and therapeutic care using the values inherent in our hospital culture. The registered nurse demonstrates initiative, knowledge and clinical skills in caring for the patient with complex needs. The Registered Nurse demonstrates the ability to effectively manage patients by assuming full responsibility for the assessment, plan, implementation and evaluation of patient care and is directly responsible to a designated nurse manager.

Schedule: Full Time - 37.5 hrs/week - 5 shifts / 8am-4pm - Monday to Friday

• Valid CT RN State License

• BSN Required

• Certification in Oncology Nursing, OCN preferred. Required within 24 months of hire.

• Valid BLS certification

• Requires extensive knowledge in Oncology nursing and advanced knowledge of principles and practices within the field of nursing and excellent interpersonal skills to deal with critically and sometimes terminally ill cancer patients. Must be able to demonstrate excellent critical thinking skills.

• 2 years of experience in Oncology preferred
