Radiation Technician collects, tests and analyzes materials of nuclear powered electric generating plant. May require an associate's degree or its equivalent with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Radiation Technician has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Additionally, Radiation Technician works under immediate supervision. Assures safe delivery of high quality radiaiton therapy. Provides consultative services for treatment planning, treatment implementation and for radiation safety.
Required Qualifications:
Education: MS in medical physics or related field.
Licensure: Board certified by American Board or Radiology or American College of Medical Physics.
Experience: Two (2) years in medical physics in a radiation oncology setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Ph.D. in medical physics or related field.
Experience: AcQSIM Simulation process, stereotactic radiosurgery.
