Radiation Technician jobs in Reno, NV
Radiation Technician collects, tests and analyzes materials of nuclear powered electric generating plant. May require an associate's degree or its equivalent with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Radiation Technician has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Additionally, Radiation Technician works under immediate supervision. Job Description
As a radiation therapist, you'll help treat patients with cancer using radiation. Working closely with radiation oncologists and the cancer care team at a hospital, radiation center, cancer center or other healthcare facility, you'll use medical imaging, operate radiation equipment, deliver treatments, educate patients and families and more. You'll play an important role in providing moral support and healing for patients with cancer.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent experience as a radiation therapist
- ARRT Certification
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- Current state license (if applicable)
