Radiation Therapy Technologist (ARRT) II administers radiation therapy by exposing specific areas of the patient's body to prescribed doses of radiation. Maintains patient charts, noting such information as the area treated, the radiation dosage, equipment control settings, the patient's reactions, and the total amount of radiation received to date. Being a Radiation Therapy Technologist (ARRT) II consults with radiation oncologists and other clinical staff as needed. May require a bachelor's degree in a related area. Additionally, Radiation Therapy Technologist (ARRT) II typically requires graduation from an accredited radiation therapy program, certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and a state license to practice. Typically reports to a physician or manager. The Radiation Therapy Technologist (ARRT) II work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. What you'll do- Provide compassionate and quality rehabilitation services under the direction of a Registered Physical Therapist (PT)
Our ideal candidateWe are looking for a PTA who has a heart to serve with a compassionate, engaged personality. This forward-thinking candidate is highly organized and demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have completed approved schooling for Physical Therapy Assistants
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility is preferred but not required
- Must maintain a good working relationship with other health care professionals
- When low census, must be willing to travel within a 30-mile radius to provide therapy coverage (travel time reimbursed)
- Ability to effectively collaborate within a team environment
- A passion for working with elderly residents
