We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated React Native Software Developer - Automotive to join our team. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing the SiriusXM 360L application for automotive customers. The SiriusXM 360L application is a cutting-edge entertainment platform that delivers a personalized and immersive listening experience on Linux-powered automotive infotainment systems.

What you'll do:
- Design and develop advanced features and functionality for the SiriusXM 360L Automotive application for Linux-based OS, focusing on performance, reliability, and user experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
- Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
- Develop, test, and maintain Automotive SXM applications using React Native.
- Work closely with backend developers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless data flow between the front-end and back-end systems.
- Debug and resolve software defects and issues, ensuring timely delivery of robust and high-performing applications.
- Optimize applications for maximum performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute innovative ideas to drive the continuous improvement of the SiriusXM 360L application.
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects, ensuring the application meets or exceeds quality standards.
- Collaborate with QA teams to define test strategies, automate tests, and ensure high software quality throughout the development process.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior members of the development team, fostering their growth and development.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 7 years of experience as a React Native Developer or similar role, with a strong focus on app development.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with React Native, JavaScript, and related libraries.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON.
- Experience in developing cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms.
- Solid understanding of the mobile development lifecycle, best practices, and mobile UI/UX principles.
- Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience in the automotive industry or working on automotive-related projects is a plus.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
- Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
