Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining diesel engines. This is a hands-on role that requires strong mechanical knowledge and expertise in diesel engine repair.New family owned shop opening to service our company's fleet of Semi Trucks! Be the first to start and lead a new team in our new shop! If you are ready for a change from what you are doing now, we have a fresh start ready for you! Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines and industrial equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Repair and replace faulty components, such as fuel systems, transmissions, and brakes
- Conduct inspections to ensure equipment meets safety standards
- Fabricate, weld, and assemble parts as needed
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed
- Provide tire service as required
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operationsSkills:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair techniques
- Proficiency in hydraulics and mechanical systems
- Ability to fabricate, weld, and assemble parts
- Experience working with industrial equipment
- Knowledge of tire service procedures
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
