Now, with over a billion Radio Flyer wheels on the road, we have introduced a retail experience that aligns with our mission to bring smiles to kids of all ages.

A place to experience firsthand the magic of our products, including our newest line of FLYER™ eBikes and scooters.

The Radio Flyer Store provides the ultimate brand experience with unique play spaces for kids of all ages to try products like Go-Karts and Scooters on our specially designed Race Track, as well as a free FLYER™ eBike test ride experience.

Customers can utilize our friendly-staffed Service Center to assemble new Radio Flyer and FLYER™ products. Not to mention, The Radio Flyer Store visitors can get their hands on exclusive products, available only in-store.

Opportunity :

The Bike Mechanic Contractor will climb aboard as Radio Flyer embarks on this exciting new adventure into retail! The Bike Mechanic will play an important role in contributing to a positive and inclusive environment that brings the Radio Flyer brand and Vision, Mission & Values to life for all customers.

As a Bike Mechanic, this person will be responsible for delivering a consistent Little Red Rule experience and maintaining store operational excellence.

This would be a great opportunity for supplemental income and those with a passion for bikes.

Specific responsibilities include :

• Contribute to store sales by engaging customers on the sales floor, assisting with safe customer test rides and maintaining fleet of test ride bikes to a high level of quality
• Deliver Radio Flyer FUNatical World-Class Service through assembling new bicycles including kids’ bikes and adult ebikes
• Perform service on customer’s bikes including regular maintenance, adjustments, and replacement of damaged components
• Install custom accessories as-needed to customer bikes
• Maintain safe and clean workspace including organization of tools, components, consumables and removing waste
• Connect with Radio Flyer customers and community by participating in engaging store events focused on bikes
• Other tasks as assigned, including Radio Flyer core product product assembly

Qualifications :

• Available to work Saturdays and at least 1 other day weekly ranging from 16-20 hours per week
• Must have at least 2 years of experience working in a bike shop with intermediate understanding of mechanical principles, practices, and procedures related to bicycle service and repair
• Experience with assembly and troubleshooting of electric bikes preferred
• Safety focused
• Detail-oriented and precise with a focus on delivering high quality bikes to our customers
• Excellent customer service skills including a genuine ability to engage and interact with store guests
• Ability to lift and mobilize large items while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
