Radiologic Technologist performs radiological imaging examinations of patients using both stationary and mobile radiographic equipment. Positions patient as needed to obtain optimal images and prevent patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation. Being a Radiologic Technologist develops exposed X-ray film, ensures proper film identification on all images, and creates x-ray CD copies. Files films, maintains medical records, and performs other related administrative duties. Additionally, Radiologic Technologist typically requires an associate degree in a related area. Requires American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. The Radiologic Technologist works under moderate supervision. This full time, 40 hour per week position will provide coverage in AMI's South Office locations. The work schedule includes varying shift times Monday-Friday. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs.
Qualified candidates for this position must be a graduate or upcoming graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology and are registered or are registry-eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). Must obtain valid and current NJ Rad Tech license as well as a CPR/BLS certification (must include hands-on instruction) prior to start of employment. Candidates must have full knowledge of all aspects concerning radiation protection. Must be able to adapt to changing technologies as they occur. Hours are subject to change based on business needs.
