Radiologic Technologist performs radiological imaging examinations of patients using both stationary and mobile radiographic equipment. Positions patient as needed to obtain optimal images and prevent patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation. Being a Radiologic Technologist develops exposed X-ray film, ensures proper film identification on all images, and creates x-ray CD copies. Files films, maintains medical records, and performs other related administrative duties. Additionally, Radiologic Technologist typically requires an associate degree in a related area. Requires American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. The Radiologic Technologist works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Radiologic Technologist typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

The department performs digital general x-ray examinations and digital fluoroscopy procedures in 4 state of the art digital x-ray units within the Radiology department including the emergency room, and a separate orthopedic unit. But it takes more than state-of-the-art equipment to provide a truly superior service.     Radiological Technologist – X-Ray Tech – Full Time - Rotating Evenings

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced X-Ray Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will operate x-ray equipment to make high quality images of the body, under the direction of a radiologist and the supervision of a department supervisor. While this is a technical position with no supervisory responsibility, you will play a critical role in maintaining our premier level of quality, in support of a world-class clinical team. Use your expertise in X-Ray technology to assist with the diagnosis of rare and complex cases. Expand your knowledge, alongside the most highly respected professionals in the field.     Week 1: Sunday 12 am- 8 am & 8 am - 4 pm, Monday-Wednesday 12 pm - 8 pm

    Week 2: Tuesday-Thursday 4 pm - 12 am, Friday 8 am - 4 pm & 4 pm-12 am

    Preferred Criteria

    • Previous experience as an X-Ray Technologist in a hospital environment

    Required Criteria 

    • Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiology
    • New York State Radiologic Technologist license from Department of Health 
    • ARRT
