Radiologic Technologist performs radiological imaging examinations of patients using both stationary and mobile radiographic equipment. Positions patient as needed to obtain optimal images and prevent patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation. Being a Radiologic Technologist develops exposed X-ray film, ensures proper film identification on all images, and creates x-ray CD copies. Files films, maintains medical records, and performs other related administrative duties. Additionally, Radiologic Technologist typically requires an associate degree in a related area. Requires American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. The Radiologic Technologist works under moderate supervision. The Radiologic Technologist is primarily responsible for operating radiographic equipment to obtain and process radiographs of client anatomy, maintenance of radiographic equipment, and maintaining licensure of equipment. Assists with objectives, goals and client services relating to the Tuberculosis Program.
The following functions represent the majority of the duties performed by the position, but is not meant to be all-inclusive or prevent other duties from being assigned when necessary.

1. May review with the TB physician on film quality.
QUALIFICATIONS/SPECIFICATIONS:
Education: Associates degree preferred with two years of training in an accredited hospital. Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
Experience: Two years of experience as a radiologic technologist.
Knowledge and Skills:
Licenses: Registered with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists.
INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Regular physical effort required in lifting medical supplies weighing approximately up to 25 pounds. Work assigned schedule while being punctual.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY/ACCOUNTABILITY:
Direct Supervision – None.
Indirect Supervision – None.
Budget/Money/Material – Responsible for assigned equipment.
Reports to – Manager Tuberculosis.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Possible exposure to communicable diseases, blood, and other bodily fluids. Potential minimal exposure to radiation while operating x-ray equipment.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
