Radiology of Huntsville (ROH) is the largest, most highly specialized radiology practice in North Alabama.

ROH provides general and specialty radiology coverage to six Alabama hospitals, two breast centers, ten outpatient imaging centers and multiple physician offices.

This position requires frequent contact with employees, and outside vendors. The successful candidate must possess a strong service orientation and sense of urgency, critical thinking and problem solving skills, ability to prioritize and organize, and the ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality. Must be able to work in a fast paced, high volume work environment.

This position will be based out of our Huntsville office. Regular working hours will be from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday - Friday

Specific Responsibilities of the Job:

• Review system generated claims for correct coding and billing information.
• Assist patients by answering inquiries related to billing and insurance.
• Research and attach all necessary medical records when requested for claim processing.
• Generate secondary claims when appropriate.
• Manage clearinghouse audit trails.
• Modify all Imagine account claims for insurance company specific rules.
• Coordinate with employer and/or worker compensation companies to assure complete and accurate claim submission.
• Manage Imagine denial and outstanding insurance ticklers for account balance resolution.
• File appeals/reconsideration for claims denials.
• Provides back up support to receptionist desk, as needed.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Proficiency using ImagineSoftware
• Proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Strong service orientation and sense of urgency
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Ability to prioritize and organize
• Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in insurance claims follow up and claims denial management
• Radiology billing experience preferred
