Radiology Director directs and coordinates activities of a radiology or diagnostic imaging department in a hospital or other medical facility. Reviews work schedules and assigns duties to workers to maintain patient flow and achieve production goals. Being a Radiology Director oversees staff in operation of imaging equipment, such as x-ray machine, fluoroscope, CT scanner, or MRI equipment. Evaluates accuracy and quality of images and provides technical assistance to staff. Additionally, Radiology Director demonstrates new techniques, equipment, and procedures to staff. Implements and monitors radiation safety measures to ensure safety of patients and staff and compliance with regulatory requirements. Develops and implements plans, policies, and procedures regarding operations and staffing and, the purchasing of radiology supplies. May require an advanced degree. MOBILE PHLBOTOMIST ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Collects blood using proper protocol and technique.
2. Receives pre-collected specimens from client.
3. Prepares specimen for transport to laboratory.
4. Transports specimen to laboratory.
5. Properly documents all tasks according to protocol.
6. Drives company vehicle in a safe and prudent manner.
The Mobile Phlebotomist frequently works with elderly or compromised patients. The individual who is successful in this role will demonstrate the consistent ability to provide respectful, compassionate care understanding that these patients may respond emotionally to the need to conduct blood draws or may present the need for more advance blood draw technique due to their physical condition.
The work environment includes driving a company vehicle various distances in all types of weather and traffic conditions. The successful Mobile Phlebotomist must be able to function consistently under stress and be highly safety conscious.
MOBILE PHLEBOTOMIST QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Certification of completion of an accredited Phlebotomy program.
2. High School Diploma or GED and graduate of an accredited technical school.
3. Valid Driver's license with a clean driving record.
