Express BBQ Lead Position
Job Summary: A lead position involves directly overseeing a team of employees. Reviewing the employees' work and provide comments, feedback, and tips to help them improve. The lead position reports to the department manager and may complete daily responsibilities while the supervisor handles higher-level work items. Provide direction, encouragement, assistance, and support to the team.
Supervisory Duties
· Oversight of 7-10 hourly employees per shift
Supervisory Responsibilities
· To actively supervise, direct, train, develop, motivate, and hold accountable to our standards & policies all BBQ Express employees.
· To ensure that the BBQ Express is a safe working environment for our employees.
· To establish and maintain consistent production, service, and product quality standards
· To ensure Express BBQ employees exhibit excellent guest relations and sales promotional skills.
· To continually strive to improve profit, sales, and quality overall in all facets of the Express BBQ operation.
· To always project a positive attitude “guest first” attitude to both our internal and external guests making them first in every business decision we make.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Provide support, direction, and guidance to Express BBQ staff members
· To regularly inspect all Express food prep areas to ensure proper food preparation, food service, presentation, employee hygiene, employee productivity, sanitation, and cleanliness.
· To establish and maintain consistent production, service, and product quality standards
Required Skills and Abilities
· 6 months to 1 year of experience in a previous leadership role.
· Excellent communication skills
· Ability to teach, train, and guide staff.
· Previous leadership role or example of directing staff.
· Basic understanding of all roles in the food service line
· Ability to perform repetitive motion for long periods
Education and Experience
· High School diploma or equivalent
· AA degree; Jr. College
· 6 months to 1 year of experience in a previous leadership role.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to lift up to 15-25 pounds intermittently
· Prolonged periods of standing and working in a restaurant setting
· Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
· Bend or twist repeatedly throughout the shift
Compensation and Benefits
· Hourly compensation: $20.00- $22.00 hr.
