  • Summary

    As a Woodie’s General Manager, you’ll deliver WOW service to every customer and ensure a positive and enjoyable customer experience every day. You should always strive for the best output of vehicles, while maintaining site safety, cleanliness, customer engagement, and membership sales. You are considered “key carriers” and manage individual shifts including opening and closing duties with no other member of management present. You are also responsible for training and managing employees at your site and on your management shift.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

    • May hire and train new staff or assist management with this process.

    • Coordinates and oversees the day-to-day workflow of subordinate staff.

    • As requested by the Manager, conducts, or assists with performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

    • Assists the General Manager with employment actions, including discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

    • Monitors site performance, identifying and facilitating opportunities to increase productivity and efficiency.

    • Manages daily aspects of the site and its staff to ensure projects are completed and goals and customer needs are met.

    • Collaborates with other managers to plan, direct, and coordinate programs and projects.

    • Collaborates with other managers to analyze costs, benefits, and losses of company profits.

    • Drafts, submits, and presents various performance and management reports as needed.

    • Manages inventory, approving or facilitating purchases as needed.

    • Manages conflicts and resolves complaints about or within the site.

    • Must display the 5 old school values at all times. Those values are: courtesy, hustle, ownership, pride and trust.

    • Help members and customers select products based on their needs.

    • Hustle, smile and show good engagement with staff and customers.

    • Train and coach crew members on a regular basis with a heavy focus on key areas such as: sales, customer service and facility cleanliness/safety.

    • Master the routines of opening and closing the location

    • Understand back office and POS procedures

    • Engage in ground maintenance activities including the general cleaning and upkeep of buildings and equipment, including buffing, dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and washing windows.

    • Assist other departments as requested, including unloading and storing supplies.

    • Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning as directed by manager with the company provided tools, equipment, and supplies.

    • Maintain knowledge and implement current sales, promotions, and company policies.
    • Adhere to all health, safety and security practices in the performance of the job.

    • Any and all other duties as assigned by the Car Wash Manager or Area Manager

    While performing the duties of this job, the Assistant General Manager is regularly required to stand and/or walk for long periods of time. The Assistant General Manager is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. They must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include depth perception.

    Travel requirements:

    This position is based at a Wash Shack location and requires travel to and from work and home. The position may require travel to and from field store locations or other locations as necessary and would normally equate to less than 20% of the employee’s time.
