Rate Analyst jobs in Minnesota

This position is responsible for provider reimbursement development and analysis of provider impact relating to provider reimbursement and payment methodology. Communicate results to internal and external customers.

• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of UCare provider contracts, benefit packages, and claim processing procedures.

• Actively participate in the Payment Policy Workgroup.

• Support UCare’s Payment Policy initiatives by performing research, maintaining existing policies, drafting of new policies, assist in draft of provider communication and implementation.

• Analyze current and future contract arrangements for the financial impact to UCare as well as the Provider related to fee schedules.

• Development and analysis of new and existing fee schedules.

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers.

• Develop and maintain documentation and procedures for standard projects.

• Assist in analysis of performance by contract for rate setting and budgeting purposes.

• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Education

BS/BA with an emphasis in finance/accounting or related field; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Experience

Three years of related experience in pricing or provider payment methodology experience. Intermediate skills with Excel.

Preferred Experience

Experience in Finance or Accounting. Knowledge of the Managed Care industry and intermediate SQL skills.
