Rate Analyst jobs in Waco, TX

Rate Analyst monitors, reviews, and evaluates service rates and charges for various public utilities. Calculates cost-of-service and performs related rate analysis. Being a Rate Analyst ensures filings comply with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission requirements. Typically requires a bachelor's degree of business administration or related field. Additionally, Rate Analyst typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Rate Analyst gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     THE CITY OF WACO SEEKS:
    An individual who builds, analyzes, and interprets complex data sets to provide valuable insights and support data-driven decision-making processes. This role will also work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations. 

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    Required:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.
    • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, with a strong track record of delivering insights and solutions from data and establishing data governance.
    • Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License
    Preferred:
    • 2 or more years working experience with GiS and municipal data systems
    • 2 or more years SQL, Cloud, and/or HTML experience
