    JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Reviews New Business/Renewal applications, renewal instructions, and requests for policy changes to verify all pertinent information to produce accurate quotes, policies, and endorsements
    • Obtain missing rating information by utilizing all resources provided (i.e. ISO fire rates & rules, Sage, internet, co-workers etc.)
    • Perform calculations to produce accurate and timely quotes and premium charges by using carrier rating systems, and other rating sources provided by company
    • Maintain rating manuals
    • Review and implement carrier bulletins and release notes
    • Manage own work assignments to meet the company's service standards and delivery metrics

    Requirements:
    ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING
    • Knowledge of property and casualty insurance coverages and rating principals
    • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Possess excellent communication skills, be able to take direction from multiple sources (Underwriters, supervisors, and other senior positions) and handle multiple priorities
    • Must be able to work under minimal supervision and frequently exercise initiative, independent judgment and problem solving skills
    • Attention to details is critical for this position
    WORK EXPERIENCE
    • 2-3 years of rating and/or commercial insurance experience
    OTHER REQUIREMENTS
    • Associate's, Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred
    • Certificate in General Insurance (AINS – Intro, Ethics, INS21, INS22, INS23) or ability to obtain one within a year
