Position Brief: IT Support Specialist III
As an IT Support Specialist III, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex IT infrastructure and systems for our organization. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: managing and leading IT projects, providing technical expertise, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align IT systems with business objectives and end-user needs. Additionally, you will be a member of the larger TechOps Team, contributing to helpdesk responsibilities, customer support, and troubleshooting. This position involves handling advanced technical issues, camera deployments, Ubiquiti networks, and participating in larger IT projects and audits.
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
5 years of experience in a related IT field.
Expertise in networking, cloud computing, cybersecurity, data management.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Experience leading and managing IT projects.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of IT policies and procedures.
Certifications in Google, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are a plus.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain complex IT infrastructure and systems.
Manage and lead IT projects from start to finish.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure IT systems align with business objectives and meet end-user needs.
Provide technical expertise in networking, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data management.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
Implement security protocols to protect IT systems and data.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
Develop and maintain IT policies and procedures.
Train and mentor employees and IT staff members.
Taking ownership of customer issues reported and seeing problems through to resolution.
Research and identify solutions to hardware and software issues.
Help Desk ticket resolution (Tier 1/2/3).
Ensure all issues are properly logged, and solutions documented.
Help create technical documentation and manuals.
Identify and suggest possible improvements in procedures.
Develop and support methods and procedures for synchronous technology adoption.
Work closely with other departments for collaborating IT projects.
Provide technical support to training, e-learning, and web conferencing system users.
Analyze complex computer systems, identify problems, and develop and implement solutions with end-users.
Monitor and administer printers, including direct toner shipping.
Internet traffic monitoring.
Traveling to remote locations for hands-on troubleshooting and deployment.
Project deployments and execution.
Corporate Firewall Monitoring.
Network troubleshooting and buildout.
Phone Queue Design and Management.
Ubiquiti/Unifi Network management.
Domain Management.
Google Drive Migrations.
Camera Deployments: lead and advise in camera projects across properties.
IT Projects & Audits: lead and contribute to the larger IT projects, ensuring successful planning, execution, and completion. Conduct regular IT audits to assess compliance, security, and overall efficiency of systems and processes.
The goals of the TechOps team revolve around ensuring the smooth operation of an organization's IT infrastructure, providing efficient technical support to end-users, and contributing to the overall success of the business.
