Description

 Responsibilities:

•  Develop and implement financial strategies for affordable housing, market rate and commercial properties.
•  Oversee the financial health of the organization, including accounting, budgeting, and reporting.
•  Manage the accounting team of 8 employees, providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship.
•  Drive a monthly close process and produce a monthly reporting package for the investors.
•  Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement, cost-savings and recovery opportunities.
•  Collaborate with DiMarco Group/Shared Services Team to ensure financial objectives are met and aligned with company goals.
•  Stay up-to-date on financial regulations and ensure compliance with local and national laws.
•  Lead financial audits and reviews, working closely with external auditors.
•  Develop and maintain relationships with financial partners, such as banks, investors, and vendors.
•  Drive financial efficiency and profitability through strategic planning and decision-making.

Requirements

Qualifications:

•  Must have real estate experience: Affordable housing, market rate and commercial properties.
•  Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field (MBA degree preferred).
•  CPA certification is a plus.
•  Proven experience in a senior financial management role in the real estate industry.
•  Strong accounting and reporting skills.
•  Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking.
•  Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
•  Proficiency in financial software (MRI preferred) and MS Excel.
•  Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
